Happy New Year from the Dixie Dean Hotel

With big things to look forward to in the new year, we take a look back at 2017 and a year that saw the birth of the Dixie Dean Hotel.?

We can’t wait to see our luxurious hotel open, but before all of that, we want to remember some of the best news, announcements and images from the past year.

The Dixie Dean Hotel is Born

In July, Signature Living announced that they had bought the Gothic Jerome and Carlisle Buildings in Liverpool and planned to transform them into a new luxury hotel, dedicated to Everton legend Dixie Dean.

This brand new hotel is planned to feature 100 stunning bedrooms, a restaurant and bar, weddings and events venue, plus a special museum containing fascinating Dixie Dean memorabilia.

The World’s First Football Quarter

Shortly after revealing the amazing Dixie Dean Hotel plans, Signature Living also announced that they would be creating the world’s first Football Quarter in the centre of Liverpool.

Aiming to boost the city?s tourism offer and create hundreds more jobs locally, the Dixie Dean Hotel?is situated directly opposite the Shankly Hotel on Victoria Street and will give football fans visiting the area the choice of staying at a hotel dedicated to a Liverpool or Everton legend.

Plans For Merseyside Legends?Statues

Bill Shankly and Dixie Dean

Plans were also revealed that will celebrate Merseyside legends like never before.

Signature Living are to erect a statue of Dixie Dean and Bill Shankly in the world?s first ever ?Football Quarter.?

The statue will depict Dixie Dean, a former centre forward and legend of Everton, and Bill Shankly, hero of Liverpool Football Club, arm in arm as a testament to the friendship that blossomed following their respective retirement from the beautiful game.

First Images are Released

The first images of how the Dixie Dean Hotel will look were released, featuring a stunning tree-lined Football Quarter and statues of footballing icons.

The plans show how the hotel will be beautifully lit, reminiscent of London?s Harrods and reflective of the four-star luxury of the hotel?s interior.

Fans can expect an atmospheric feel to the Dixie Dean with history and character radiating from the striking venue. The hotel will be fitted with spacious, unique rooms and of course, memorabilia donated from the Dean family themselves.

Happy New Year from the Dixie Dean Hotel

We have enjoyed an extremely exciting year and look forward to many more big announcements and events in 2018.

Happy New Year!
