Opening Date Set for Dixie Dean Hotel in Liverpool

We?re excited to announce that the date is set for the grand Dixie Dean Hotel?opening. Officially taking place on Friday 5th July, everyone is invited to come along and join in the fun!

Commemorating the outstanding life and footballing career of Everton legend Dixie Dean, this brand-new hotel will offer fans an atmospheric space to meet, stay, drink and dine.

Sitting opposite the famous Shankly Hotel on Victoria Street in the heart of Liverpool city centre, this beautiful hotel will form one half of the world?s first ?Football Quarter?.

Fans can expect an electric atmosphere inside the hotel, with history and character radiating from the striking venue. The hotel will be fitted with spacious, unique rooms and of course, memorabilia donated from the Dean family themselves.

A Luxury Football-Themed Hotel

The?Jerome and Carlisle Buildings, which were formerly used as a Magistrate’s court, have been beautifully transformed into 100 luxury rooms and suites, as well as bar & restaurant, wedding & events venue and the Dixie Dean Museum, where exclusive memorabilia will be displayed.

Each of the boutique rooms and suites have been designed with pure luxury and style in mind, featuring breathtaking royal blues and sophisticated gold detailing. Relax in luxury and enjoy whirlpool baths, copper tubs and unique Dixie and Evertonian memorabilia.

Our beautiful bar and restaurant, No9, is named after the iconic jersey that Dixie wore when numbered shirts were first introduced during the 1933 FA Cup Final. The perfect place to enjoy a unique dining experience with loved one, No9 offers a delicious menu that is bursting with traditional Scouse cuisine with a luxury twist.

No9 Dixie Dean Hotel opening

The stunning events space will be perfect for marking special occasions, celebrating weddings or hosting corporate business events in the city. Spacious and beautifully designed, this venue is sure to become the most sought after in Liverpool.

Outside, plans for The Dixie Dean Hotel include turning one of the front-facing gothic turrets of the Jerome and Carlisle Buildings into a representation of the Everton Brow Tower. This fantastic feature will instantly distinguish the hotel?s Evertonian heritage from that of the adjacent Shankly Hotel and its LFC heritage.

There are also plans to feature statues of Liverpool FC and Everton FC legends along the tree-lined avenue that will make up the world?s first Football Quarter.

Dedicated to Dixie

Dixie Dean is a true Everton icon and footballing legend. In total, he scored a staggering 383 goals for Everton in 433 appearances, an exceptional strike-rate which includes 37 hat-tricks. During the legendary 1927-28 season, Dixie memorably scored an outstanding record 60 league goals, winning Everton the First Division title.

Over his career he was renowned for being a true gentleman and a role model, so there?s no surprise that tributes to him continue to flood in. He was a remarkable individual, because of his unassuming ordinariness that was retained until his final days, despite having an infinite amount to be boastful of. He was and always has been, the boy from Birkenhead.

The Dixie Dean Hotel will honour his outstanding career and life, sympathetically restoring a historic building into a luxury 100-bed hotel in the heart of Liverpool.
