Work to Begin on The Dixie Dean Hotel Liverpool

Set to complete the world?s first Football Quarter, planning permission has been granted for The Dixie Dean Hotel.

At Signature Living, we couldn?t be more excited that work can start on Liverpool?s very own Dixie Dean themed hotel.

Plans for The Dixie Dean Hotel

We?ll be busy over the next months giving the Grade II listed Gothic Jerome and Carlisle buildings a new lease of life. The exquisite buildings will be transformed into a luxury hotel, sitting opposite the city?s famous Shankly Hotel.

Following the success of Liverpool?s Bill Shankly themed venue, we?ll be following a similar format to bring Dixie Dean fans something completely unique. Expected to attract local Everton fans as well as fans from across the globe, this development will be truly one of a kind.

With work set to begin, Signature Living chairman Lawrence Kenwright told the press:

?We are absolutely delighted that we can now start work on building the Dixie Dean hotel and our vision of an iconic football quarter for Liverpool is another step nearer. Liverpool is steeped in footballing history, it?s within the DNA of our great city and our people.?

A Versatile City Centre Venue

Due to open later this year, The Dixie Dean Hotel will sleep 100 guests in style. Taking inspiration from The Shankly Hotel?s success, the hotel will also offer guests a vibrant bar and restaurant.

Plus, The Dixie Dean Hotel will also feature an atmospheric events space, perfect for marking special occasions with family and friends. Situated in the heart of the city centre, this is a fantastic location for celebrating everything from birthdays to weddings.

The Football Quarter

We are also hoping to pedestrianise the area of the city, creating a picturesque boulevard aligned by trees. The area would be known as ?Stanley Park Avenue?. We feel the proposed plans would be an incredible away to honour and showcase two football greats.

Liverpool?s friendly football rivalry is at the heart of the hotel plans. Everton and Liverpool FC fans have a long-standing ?friendly derby? ? the teams are united by closely intertwined histories. Most notably, the friendly derby can be linked back to the formation of Liverpool F.C. Originally, Everton played at Anfield, before relocating to Goodison Park.

Another significant reason is that the clubs sitting close together in the north of the city; there aren?t any evident political, social, religious or geographical divides in the city that determine football team supporters. It?s this close-knit football community that makes Liverpool?s football culture so special.

Speaking of the friendly rivalry, Lawrence Kenwright shared:

?This will be an amazing tribute to our great football teams that their history and legacy lives on when people come to visit our great city. Both Bill Shankly and Dixie Dean were the greatest of friends, despite representing rival football teams.?
