Images of Liverpool’s New Football Quarter Revealed in the MailOnline

The Dixie Dean Hotel has made headline news on a national newspaper website regarding our plans to create the UK?s first Football Quarter.

The MailOnline wrote about Signature Living?s proposed ideas for Victoria Street on 20 September, revealing the exciting plans for the street that separates the soon-to-be complete Dixie Dean Hotel and the hugely successful Shankly Hotel to a national audience. Shared over 200 times, the story includes never-seen-before CGI visuals of how Signature Living envision the new Football Quarter will look when complete.

Reminiscent of the historic friendship between Bill Shankly and Dixie Dean, who developed a close relationship after they retired from the beautiful game, the quarter will unite Liverpool?s two world-class football clubs and their fans in a celebration of the city?s outstanding sporting achievements.

Liverpool?s Football Quarter ? Our Plans

The Dixie Dean Hotel and The Shankly Hotel, which honour Liverpool FC and Everton FC?s most famous faces, will form the boundaries for the football avenue down Victoria Street, with statues of both clubs? cherished former players and managers lining the walk-ways between the hotels.

In MailOnline article, it was revealed that the statues will be made of bronze and include heroes such as Bob Paisley, Sir Kenny Dalglish and Everton manager Howard Kendall.

The new CGIs also show how elegant overhead lighting will be installed and an avenue of trees planted, giving the road between the two hotels an elegant, new feel.

The world?s first Football Quarter is an exciting innovation in the heart of Liverpool, aiming to boost the city?s tourism offerings and cement Liverpool?s position as a leading football city globally.

Bill Shankly?s grandson, and Director of The Shankly Hotel, Chris Shankly-Carline told the MailOnline: ?My granddad lived for football and I know he would be incredibly proud of what we?re doing in Liverpool.

?The Shankly Hotel is already massively popular with football fans, the Dixie Dean and the wider football quarter is now going to cement Liverpool?s place as the UK?s capital of football.?

The Dixie Dean Hotel

Set to open in April 2019, The Dixie Dean Hotel will provide luxurious city-centre accommodation for Everton fans and those wanting to discover more about the life of the Blues? most famous footballing star, both on and off the pitch.

Developed in close collaboration with the family of Dixie Dean, the new hotel will offer opulent suites and amenities that have been designed to weave the legacy of Everton?s incredible goal scorer into the fabric of the hotel. Inside, you?ll be able to discover exclusive, never-seen-before memorabilia and stories about Everton?s record goal scorer as told by friends, family and those that knew him best.

The 100-bedroom hotel will also boast restaurants, bars and a beautiful events space for weddings and conferences in the stunning Grade II listed Gothic Jerome and Carlisle buildings on Victoria Street.

Just a 5-minute walk from Liverpool’s main Lime Street Station and short 15-minute taxi drive from Goodison Park, The Dixie Dean Hotel is ideally located for football fans looking to spend a night in the city or tourists hoping to enjoy the best of Liverpool’s restaurants, shopping and cultural attractions.
